Oracle Database Developer (Prod Support)
Oracle Database Developer (Production Support) Location: Remote Night Shift: Ideal hours are 3 AM EST to 12 PM EST; there is some flexibility if needed Pay: $50-60/hr Seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer with strong PL/SQL expertise to support mission‑critical production systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ensuring database stability in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of hands‑on experience and is comfortable providing off‑hours support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide production support for Oracle databases, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
- Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, packages, triggers, and scripts
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning improvements
- Partner with application and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Support deployments, patches, and release activities
- Create and maintain technical documentation and support runbooks
- Participate in an on‑call rotation and support off‑hours maintenance or critical incidents
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of Oracle database development experience
- Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Experience working in a production support or operations environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
