Senior Motion Graphics Designer - Animation & Visual Effects
Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join their creative team in Baltimore, Maryland, US . This role is central to producing high-quality animated graphics, visual effects, and engaging video content for a variety of projects, including marketing campaigns, digital content, and internal communications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong artistic sensibility, exceptional technical skills in industry-standard software, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, storyboarding, and executing motion graphics projects from start to finish, collaborating closely with directors, producers, and other creative professionals to bring visions to life. Key Responsibilities: Conceptualize, design, and animate compelling motion graphics sequences for various media platforms. Develop storyboards, styleframes, and animatics to effectively communicate design concepts. Create visually appealing 2D and 3D animations, character animations, and title sequences. Integrate graphics seamlessly with live-action footage, using techniques such as compositing and visual effects. Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and creative direction. Ensure all creative output meets brand guidelines and aesthetic standards. Operate and maintain motion graphics software and hardware, staying updated with the latest technologies. Collaborate effectively with video editors, sound designers, and other members of the production team. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards. Contribute creative ideas during team brainstorming sessions and project development. Optimize motion graphics assets for various delivery formats and platforms. A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional motion graphics work. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in motion graphics design and animation is required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) is essential. Experience with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) and compositing software (e.g., Nuke) is a significant plus. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and storytelling principles is crucial.
