Online Science Teacher (K-12 Support in Bio, Chem & Physics | USA Curriculum)
Looking for highly skilled Science Teachers (Bio, Chem & Physics) to provide online/remote live academic support to K-12 students based in the United States.
About the Role
This is not a traditional classroom teaching role. Teachers provide short-form, live academic assistance to students who join an online support platform when they get stuck on a science concept, theory, experiment, calculation, or assignment question. Sessions are typically around 10 minutes long and focus on direct, snapshot-style support. Students may require assistance with: Biological Sciences Chemistry Physical Sciences AP-level and advanced science subjects Homework clarification and scientific problem-solving If a student requires extensive intervention or ongoing academic support, they are referred back to their primary educator.
Requirements
Applicants must have: A completed tertiary qualification in:BSc. in Biological Sciences/Chemistry/Physical Sciences, OR B.Ed FET with Science as a core module/major Related degree Exceptionally strong knowledge across multiple disciplines and levels The ability to think quickly and explain concepts clearly in real time Strong verbal communication skills Technical Requirements Fibre internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps upload/download) LAN-connected setup i5 quad-core PC/laptop capable of running teaching software UPS/back-up power solution Noise-cancelling headset Quiet, professional working environment Working Hours South African time 15:00 – 00:00 SAST Shift can be broken in half, e.g., 15:00-18:00 and 18:00-00:00
Compensation
