Junior Industrial Designer
SUPER73, Inc. is seeking a passionate and highly creative Junior Vehicle Designer to join their growing design team and help shape the future of electric bikes. The role involves developing design proposals, supporting projects across the full design cycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative products that challenge convention.
Responsibilities
- Develop design proposals for future vehicle and product programs through sketching, rendering, and CAD
- Support projects across the full design cycle—from early concept exploration to production release
- Translate design intent into feasible surfaces, components, and assemblies
- Build and refine digital models using tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, Blender, or similar
- Produce high-quality visualizations and renderings for internal reviews, presentations, and marketing use
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to balance design intent, functionality, manufacturability, and cost
- Participate in design reviews, critiques, and ideation sessions, contributing ideas that strengthen overall direction
- Research trends in motorcycles, automotive, motorsports, consumer products, CMF, and emerging technologies to inform future design work
- Develop CMF, graphics, and detailing to strengthen product identity and brand expression
- Build physical mockups and prototypes to evaluate form, fit, finish, and usability
- Maintain organized CAD files, documentation, and project assets throughout development
- Support vendor communication and external partners during prototyping and production phases
- Help evolve and reinforce the Super73 design language across all future products
Skills
- Degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Product Design, or related field
- 1–3 years of professional experience
- Portfolio demonstrating concept development, sketching, 3D modeling, and rendering skills
- Proficiency in one or more CAD/visualization tools: SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, or Blender
- KeyShot or equivalent rendering software
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows is a plus
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (metal fabrication, plastics, composites, CNC machining, casting, or soft goods integration) is a plus
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Passion for motorcycles, bicycles, automotive, or motorsports
- Hands-on prototyping or fabrication experience
- CMF experience
- Experience building mockups, custom projects, or one-off prototypes
- Maker mindset with a strong drive to bring ideas into the real world
