Sales Development Representative
Roxtec UK & Ireland is a leader in cable and pipe seals, and they are seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive new business opportunities. The role involves developing relationships with key stakeholders, promoting solutions, and supporting the external sales team.
Responsibilities
- Focus on new business development through new and existing customers
- Effectively partner and work with the Marketing team, External Sales team and Internal Technical Support team to develop account intelligence and help define target markets and opportunities
- Mapping account research
- Prospecting – Cold calling/emailing, referrals, social selling to generate interest
- Re-engaging existing targets with no recent activity
- Scheduling meetings for the outside sales team
- Documenting information and interactions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Following up on incoming leads, as appropriate
- Effectively promote and apply Roxtec Core Values, within Roxtec and within industry
- Provide routine, accurate and meaningful market information, forecasting and product planning to management
- Provide pre-sales technical advice and solution guidance. This will extend to providing design input for our range of bespoke products where required
- Develop relationships with learning managers within design engineering clients, organizing lunch & learn and CPD programmes

- University degree and/or equivalent
- Professional sales experience with preference to those that have a successful record within a phone based business development role
- Experience of working on power generation, datacenters, onshore oil and gas, rail, pharma or water markets
- Knowledge in target sector with experience of civil construction, electrical, controls, automation and/or mechanical systems
- Proven ability to manage long-term and complex sales projects to success
- Ability to use industry news/project databases/relationships to develop technical sales opportunities
- Experience of working with and supporting external sales roles as part of a team
- Proven track record of successfully working from home
- Successful track record of selling premium solutions within a phone based selling role
- Experience of providing technical support both internally and externally
- Successful track record of working with premium solutions against low-cost competitors
- Ability or desire to pursue a technical sales role in the future
- Full UK driving license
Benefits
- This role will be office based a minimum of 3 days a week, however if living outside a commutable distance from the office, full expenses will be paid to cover this.
