Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Alabama
This role offers an opportunity to provide specialized education services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing through telehealth platforms. The position is designed as a 1099 contract arrangement and is based in Dolomite, AL. It focuses on delivering tailored instruction, support, and assessments to enhance communication and learning outcomes for these students. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting remote evaluations and ongoing assessments for students with hearing impairments.
- Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborating virtually with families, educators, and related service providers to support student progress.
- Utilizing telehealth technologies to deliver effective instruction and communicate clearly.
- Maintaining detailed records of student performance and service delivery.
- Providing professional guidance on assistive listening devices and communication strategies.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Certification or licensure in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Proven experience with telepractice services in an educational setting.
