Our mission is to blend cutting‑edge IT security with world‑class customer support, ensuring that every flight, every interaction, and every data transaction is protected by the highest standards. As we expand our digital footprint, we are looking for enthusiastic fresh talent to join our IT Security & Network Operations team and help shape the next generation of secure airline experiences.

Why This Role Matters

In the fast‑paced world of airline operations, the integrity of data, the reliability of network infrastructure, and the responsiveness of customer support are non‑negotiable. As an Entry-Level Customer Support Engineer you will be the first line of defense and the first point of contact for internal users, partners, and vendors. Your work will directly impact the safety, availability, and performance of arenaflex’s critical applications, ensuring that every stakeholder—from pilots to passengers—receives seamless, secure service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network & System Monitoring: Continuously monitor on‑premises and cloud‑based infrastructure for performance anomalies, security alerts, and service disruptions.
  • Firewall & VPN Management: Assist senior engineers in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls, VPN tunnels, and access control lists to safeguard internal and external communications.
  • Incident Response: Participate in the detection, triage, and remediation of security incidents, following arenaflex’s incident response playbooks.
  • Help‑Desk Support: Provide tier‑1 technical assistance to end‑users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, change logs, and incident reports to support compliance and audit requirements.
  • Collaboration with Business Units: Work closely with various arenaflex departments—such as Operations, Finance, and Customer Service—to understand their technology needs and translate them into secure solutions.
  • Project Participation: Contribute to infrastructure upgrade projects, including server migrations, network redesigns, and security policy implementations.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging security trends, cloud technologies, and industry best practices, sharing knowledge with the team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
  • Basic familiarity with firewalls, VPN technologies, and security protocols (e.g., IPSec, SSL/TLS).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and an interest in cloud security.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon into clear, user‑friendly language.
  • Self‑motivated attitude, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix or Windows Server administration.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS) and log analysis.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and ITIL best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for critical incident handling.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Prioritizing user experience while maintaining strict security standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Building strong relationships with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Adaptability: Thriving in a dynamic environment where priorities shift rapidly due to operational demands.
  • Ethical Integrity: Upholding arenaflex’s core values of honesty, respect, and accountability in every interaction.
