#21626: Prior Authorization Specialist – Remote (Must Be a NYS Resident)
We have partnered with a reputable health insurance company to recruit for an experienced Prior Authorization Clerk to join their team! This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise to a company devoted to helping Western New York communities live healthier lives. These are fully remote opportunities open to candidates residing in New York State. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Processing and completing medication prior authorizations
- Researching and reviewing prescription and medical benefit coverage
- Entering requests into the computer system
- Communicating with pharmacists, providers, and members
- Providing phone coverage for incoming calls
- Other related duties as assigned
Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5:00PM. After training, participation in a rotating every-other-weekend schedule will be required. Duration: Temporary through December 2026, with a strong possibility for extension or permanent hire. Pay Rate: $21/hr., with health, dental, vision and pet insurance; PTO and holiday pay.
