About arenaflex – Pioneering Data‑Driven Audit Excellence

arenaflex is a leading player in the rapidly evolving world of digital commerce and consumer services. With a commitment to innovation, transparency, and ethical business practices, arenaflex leverages cutting‑edge technology to transform how internal audit functions are performed. Our mission is to empower audit teams with data‑centric tools, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation so they can uncover risk, drive compliance, and create lasting value for the organization.

Role Overview – Senior Internal Audit Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Internal Audit Data Analyst to join our dynamic audit technology hub located in the vibrant region of Florida, USA. This full‑time, remote‑friendly position offers a competitive rate of $25 per hour and a chance to work at the intersection of data science, robotic process automation (RPA), and audit risk management. As a key member of the Internal Audit Analytics team, you will partner directly with the Internal Audit Partner and the Head of Analytics & Automation to accelerate the digital transformation of our risk‑based audit methodology and SOX compliance program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with audit stakeholders to identify high‑impact analytics opportunities that enhance risk assessment, testing, and reporting.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines using SQL, ETL best practices, and scripting languages (Python, R, or SAS) to ingest, cleanse, and enrich large‑scale data sets.
  • Implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Advanced Process Automation (APA) solutions to streamline manual audit procedures, reducing cycle time by up to 40%.
  • Create interactive visual dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) that provide real‑time insight into audit findings, control effectiveness, and emerging risk trends.
  • Perform statistical analyses—including regression, time‑series, clustering, and anomaly detection—to uncover hidden patterns, fraud indicators, and compliance gaps.
  • Document and communicate analytical methodologies, assumptions, and results in clear, business‑focused narratives for senior audit leadership and executive audiences.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (IT, Finance, Operations) to understand underlying business processes, data lineage, and source system intricacies.
  • Continuously monitor data quality, integrity, and completeness, establishing data‑governance controls that align with regulatory standards.
  • Lead knowledge‑sharing initiatives, delivering training sessions and best‑practice guides to audit staff on emerging analytics tools and techniques.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to proactively recommend enhancements to arenaflex’s audit analytics framework.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, data engineering, or internal audit analytics.
  • Proven expertise in SQL with a deep understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to write production‑grade code (Python, R, or SAS) for data manipulation, statistical modeling, and automation.
  • Strong familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, KNIME, Alteryx, or OBIEE.
  • Experience automating manual audit workflows using RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and applying APA concepts.
  • Solid grasp of statistical techniques—regression, predictive modeling, clustering, and time‑series analysis—and their practical application to fraud detection and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Self‑starter attitude, comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data warehousing solutions.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance frameworks and risk‑based audit methodologies.
  • Familiarity with machine‑learning libraries (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) for building predictive models.
  • Experience with data‑visualization storytelling, creating executive‑level presentations that drive decision‑making.
  • Certification in RPA (UiPath, Blue Prism) or data‑analytics (Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist).

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex data sets, identify root causes, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Technical Agility: Quick learner of new tools, languages, and platforms; comfortable experimenting with emerging technologies.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who can build relationships across audit, finance, IT, and business units.
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive storytelling skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Rigorous approach to data quality, validation, and documentation.
