You will design, build, and maintain a robust Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Business Intelligence (BI) platform that powers strategic decisions for senior leadership, product teams, and external partners. Your work will directly influence how arenaflex scales its data capabilities, ensuring that every stakeholder can ask “what‑if” questions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Engineering

  • Design, develop, and optimize end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow to ingest, cleanse, and load data from diverse sources.
  • Construct and maintain scalable data models, data marts, and data warehouses on platforms such as MySQL, SQL Server, and Vertica.
  • Implement best‑in‑class data governance, security, and compliance standards across the entire data lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Develop interactive dashboards and self‑service reporting solutions using Tableau and Power BI for C‑level executives and operational teams.
  • Produce ad‑hoc analytical reports that answer critical business questions, enabling rapid decision making.
  • Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories to ensure transparency and reusability.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Foster strong partnerships with key business stakeholders, IT resources, and external vendors to gather requirements and drive alignment.
  • Present technical concepts and project updates through written documentation, presentations, and visual storytelling.
  • Participate in design reviews, code walkthroughs, and peer‑review sessions to uphold high standards of quality and consistency.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay current with emerging data technologies, cloud platforms, and industry trends to recommend strategic enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, reduce latency, and improve data reliability.
  • Lead initiatives that promote a data‑driven culture across arenaflex, championing best practices and knowledge sharing.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience building data pipelines with Python and Apache Airflow (or equivalent orchestration tools).
  • Database Expertise: Proven experience designing data marts, data warehouses, and data models in relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Vertica.
  • SQL Proficiency: Advanced ability to write complex SQL queries, optimize performance, and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and data‑interpretation capabilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Dashboard Development: Experience creating executive‑level dashboards and reports for senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with data‑visualization tools beyond Tableau and Power BI, such as Looker or Qlik.
  • Knowledge of data‑quality frameworks and data‑lineage tracking.
