Key Responsibilities

  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to the shift supervisor or manager when necessary.
  • Execute inventory control tasks, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) rotation for perishable goods.
  • Support pharmacy and photo services by assisting guests with prescription pickups, photo printing, and specialty product inquiries, following all regulatory guidelines.
  • Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding controlled substances, alcohol, and tobacco sales, ensuring age verification and proper documentation.
  • Participate in store merchandising initiatives, such as setting up seasonal displays, promotional end‑caps, and product resets according to corporate directives.
  • Contribute to loss prevention efforts by following cash handling procedures, reporting suspicious activity, and maintaining vigilance against theft.
  • Complete assigned training modules, safety briefings, and performance improvement plans (PIPs) as directed by management.
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming store environment, supporting both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of six months in a retail or customer‑service environment; prior experience in a pharmacy or convenience‑store setting is advantageous.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills; ability to read and interpret signage, receipts, and policy documents.
