Position Overview – Application Engineer Lead (Part‑Time, Remote)

The Application Engineer Lead role at arenaflex is a strategic, part‑time position that empowers you to design, develop, and guide complex technology solutions across our Channel Enablement, US‑Owned Stores, and Global Franchise networks. You will act as a senior Salesforce architect, translating business requirements into robust, scalable solutions that enhance the arenaflex digital platform—including Sales Cloud, B2B Commerce, Experience Cloud, and related services. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for improving both partner and end‑customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Strategy & Execution: Partner with senior leadership to define project scope, develop solution blueprints, and prioritize deliverables that align with arenaflex’s strategic objectives.
  • Solution Design & Development: Lead the end‑to‑end design of Salesforce solutions, from requirements gathering and functional specification to architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, ensuring that development sprints are well‑planned, on‑track, and deliver high‑quality increments.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data models, integration patterns, and deployment guides.
  • Platform Governance: Contribute to arenaflex’s platform governance framework by advocating best practices, establishing coding standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Security, QA, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with broader enterprise initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise‑level IT development.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce implementations.
  • Demonstrated expertise (4+ years) in Salesforce Platform architecture, data modeling, and custom development (Apex, Lightning Web Components).
  • Proven track record (3+ years) working in Agile and DevOps environments, with familiarity of CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce B2B Commerce functional capabilities, data structures, and integration points.
  • Experience delivering large‑scale, enterprise‑wide Salesforce solutions that span multiple business units and geographies.
  • Hands‑on experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using ETL tools, NiFi, MuleSoft, or similar middleware platforms.
