As a leading global organization, arenaflex partners with enterprise clients to design, build, and maintain resilient data ecosystems that power critical operations, customer-facing products, and high-stakes decision-making processes. With a deep commitment to security, scalability, and operational excellence, arenaflex has cultivated a reputation for solving some of the most complex information engineering challenges in the industry. Our teams operate at the intersection of data, technology, and security, ensuring that every byte of information is processed, protected, and delivered with the highest standards of quality and reliability.

We are now expanding our Client Information Items Group and are seeking an accomplished, technically sophisticated professional to join us in a remote capacity. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who thrives in large-scale data lake environments, enjoys solving intricate platform challenges, and wants to make a measurable impact on production systems that serve millions of users every single day. If you are a senior-level engineer who combines analytical rigor with collaborative leadership, arenaflex wants to hear from you.

Position Overview

arenaflex is hiring a Lead Information Tasks Examiner / Senior Information Security Engineer to take ownership of production support for a portfolio of data analytics products that underpin internal bank operations. This role is central to maintaining the health, performance, and security of arenaflex’s client information analytics platform. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple technology teams to investigate platform and data quality issues, remediate problems before they affect products and services, and lead smaller projects that enhance our production support capabilities — including the rollout of new monitoring tools, the establishment of improved operating procedures, and preparation for the launch of new products and services.

This is a remote, work-from-home position offering a hybrid work plan, competitive compensation of $24 to $26 per hour, and the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team that values continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Information Security Engineer at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities that span technical execution, operational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Your primary duties will include:

  • Leading Production Support Activities: Direct end-to-end production support for a suite of data analytics products used to power internal bank operations, ensuring uptime, data integrity, and reliable performance at all times.
  • Incident Management and Triage: Serve as a key contributor in the identification, triage, and resolution of production incidents that affect the client information analytics platform, applying structured problem-solving methodologies to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
  • Complex Technical Analysis: Analyze intricate technical challenges within a large big data environment, conducting in-depth assessments that uncover root causes and inform sustainable solutions.
  • Research and Reporting: Lead research initiatives and produce comprehensive reports on ongoing production challenges, presenting findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Process and Platform Improvement: Spearhead the development of new workflow processes and platform enhancements that elevate operational maturity and reduce manual toil.
  • Vendor and Team Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact with onshore and offshore teams, ensuring transparent communication, accurate reporting of deliverables, and alignment on priorities.
  • Continuous Improvement Champion: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by proposing, designing, and implementing new methodologies, automation, and operational strategies.
  • Performance Standards: Contribute to the establishment of performance benchmarks for the team and ensure that operations consistently meet or exceed agreed metrics.
  • Risk and Control Oversight: Direct the daily Risk and Control flow of operations, with a strong focus on solutions, methodology, and work standards to ensure favorable outcomes; re-engineer processes and lead continuous service improvement.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead teams in meeting tight deadlines and driving new initiatives, while reviewing, approving, and implementing recommended changes to operational plans.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate and consult with employees at all levels to resolve ongoing initiatives and achieve technology mandates efficiently.
  • Peer Mentorship: Act as a mentor and technical advisor to peers, helping to elevate the skills, confidence, and capabilities of the broader team.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 2+ years of Analytics experience, or an equivalent combination of work experience, professional training, military service, and/or formal education.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting while remaining deeply connected to a distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable and will distinguish exceptional candidates:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting large-scale big data environments in production.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and data analytics capabilities on big data architectures such as Hadoop.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience using a combination of the following tools: HIVE, Pandas, Autosys, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Prior experience supporting Kafka and MongoDB in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with information security frameworks, controls, and best practices in regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and modern DevOps practices is a strong plus.

Skills and Competencies for Success

Beyond technical credentials, arenaflex seeks candidates who demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to dissect complex problems, identify patterns, and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Leadership and Influence: Comfort in guiding teams, mentoring peers, and driving initiatives forward without direct authority.
  • Operational Discipline: A methodical approach to incident response, change management, and production support.
  • Adaptability: The agility to pivot between deep technical work, strategic planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Innovation Mindset: A relentless curiosity and a passion for introducing new tools, techniques, and processes that improve outcomes.
  • Collaboration: The interpersonal skill to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including offshore partners, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Career Growth and Learning Opportunities

From your very first day, you will have access to structured onboarding, ongoing technical training, and certification sponsorship programs designed to help you deepen your expertise in big data, information security, and production engineering. • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Generous paid time off, holidays, and personal wellness days.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Tuition reimbursement and continuous learning stipends.
  • Access to wellness programs, mental health resources, and employee assistance services.
