As a Generative AI Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in helping our clients leverage the latest advances in generative AI, natural language processing, and multimodal machine learning to solve complex business challenges.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Generative AI Data Scientist who can serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and help our clients design and implement solutions that leverage generative AI offerings. This role involves working closely with Specialist Machine Learning Architects from diverse geographies to enable large-scale consumer use cases and drive the adoption of arenaflex ML/AI platforms.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical experience working with technologies related to natural language processing, multimodal systems, and image generation—from model fine-tuning to prompt engineering. You will interact with Solution Architects within the region, providing guidance on their client engagements, and you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and demonstrations to help clients and partners fully leverage ML/AI on the arenaflex platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Advisory: Implement and install state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms under Generative AI. Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to discover new solutions. Engage closely with our clients and the academic community to understand their needs and deliver exceptional results.
- Technical Implementation: Design and deploy advanced generative AI systems, including large language models, multimodal systems, and image generation pipelines. Work with client teams to integrate these solutions into their existing architectures.
- Thought Leadership: Evangelize arenaflex Generative AI offerings and share best practices through various channels including internal documentation, best practice guides, white papers, reference architectures, and public-speaking engagements at industry events.
- Solution Architecture: Partner with Solutions Architects, Sales, Business Development, and AI/ML Service groups to drive client adoption and provide guidance on their client engagements. Act as a technical liaison between clients and the arenaflex offerings groups to provide client-driven product development feedback.
- Enablement Development: Create area enablement materials for the wider Solutions Architecture population to help them understand how to integrate arenaflex GenAI solutions into client architectures. Develop training materials, technical guides, and best practice documentation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate client feedback into clear business and technical requirements. Sponsor the introduction of new products and capabilities based on these requirements.
- Innovation Leadership: Drive innovative solutions by working directly with senior ML engineers and Data Scientists at clients, partners, and arenaflex service groups, influencing their roadmaps and fostering technological advancement.
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of data scientist experience in a professional setting
- 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software programs (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience with machine learning/statistical modeling, data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance
- Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science
- 2+ years of experience building and applying large language models and generative AI models
- Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP), including experience with text representation, language modeling, sequence-to-sequence architectures, and semantic understanding
- 3+ years of experience in technical architecture, design, deployment, and operational excellence
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from executive leadership to technical developers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of delivering complex technical projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Active participation in the open source community, including contributions to projects like HuggingFace, Stable Diffusion, or similar frameworks
- Experience with large model pre-training and fine-tuning, including familiarity with distributed training methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to represent arenaflex effectively in client environments and drive discussions with senior stakeholders concerning trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation
- Capability to engage with Chief Data Science Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Technology Officers, and Chief Information Officers, as well as their technical teams
- Track record of thought leadership and innovation around Machine Learning, including published works, conference presentations, or patents
- Experience with LangChain, LLAMAIndex, Foundation model tuning, Data Augmentation, and Performance Evaluation frameworks
- Previous experience leading cloud initiatives as an arenaflex client or consulting with clients on their digital transformation journeys
- Experience with model optimization, inference acceleration, and deployment of AI systems at scale
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency in Python and at least one other programming language
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX
- Knowledge of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and modern NLP techniques
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed computing concepts
- Understanding of MLOps practices, model versioning, and deployment pipelines
- Experience with vector databases and embedding-based search systems
- Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques and best practices
- Understanding of data privacy, security considerations, and ethical AI principles
