Intermediate Environmental Geologist/Engineer/Scientist

They are seeking an Intermediate Environmental Geologist/Engineer/Scientist to support brownfield re-development projects and implement remediation solutions for clients. The role involves planning field investigations, interpreting data, and preparing technical reports while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

Support brownfield re-development projects Implement characterization and remediation solution services for industrial and government clients Apply technical experience in environmental characterization and remediation Plan and execute tasks while championing safety and quality Aid in the planning and execution of field investigation activities Interpret data Prepare Phase I & II reports, conceptual site models, and other technical reports Support project execution through environmental sample collection Reporting Drive innovation and promote the use of digital tools and electronic data capture Build strong relationships with clients Work with client account managers to position and win new work Demonstrate continuous alignment to Jacobs core values to achieve clients’ goals Skills Engineer-in-training (EIT), geoscientist-in-training (GIT) or the eligibility to obtain this status with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Other Individuals classified as Qualified Environmental Professionals (e.g. registered with BC Institute of Agrologists or the Association of the Chemical Profession of BC) will also be considered 0 - 3 years of professional experience related to environmental site assessments & characterization, risk assessments, remediation, and site closure Ability to travel and participate in remote client/project site visits work and adapt to unpredictable and/or inclement field conditions and changing schedules Be physically fit to do fieldwork within various facilities up to 90% of the time, and when required wear a half-face, full-face, and/or supplied-air respirator Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Enthusiasm for environmental investigations and reclamation Curiosity to find better solutions, embrace digital solutions and drive innovation towards a more sustainable world Must hold valid Canadian driver's license Computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office suite of products Practical field experience including soil logging, monitoring well installation, groundwater and soil sampling Familiarity with the BC Environmental Management Act and BC Contaminated Sites Regulation Familiarity with environmental software, including electronic capture of field data Benefits Hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work If you require further support or reasonable adjustments with regards to the recruitment process (for example, you require the application form in a different format), please contact the team via Careers Support Company Overview Jacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
