About the Role

This position is fully remote, open to candidates across the United States. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines that handle billions of events per day with sub‑millisecond latency.
• Develop and maintain a unified data access platform that serves internal microservices, analytics teams, and machine‑learning pipelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to translate business requirements into reliable data solutions.
• Contribute to open‑source projects and share arenaflex’s innovations with the broader community.
• Optimize storage and query performance using technologies such as Presto/Trino, Druid, Iceberg, and distributed file systems.
• Ensure data quality through automated testing, monitoring, and alerting frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning sessions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of continuous learning and constructive feedback.

Essential Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience building large‑scale distributed systems or data platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or other JVM‑based languages.
• Hands‑on experience with RESTful APIs, microservice architectures, and cloud‑native deployment patterns.
• Familiarity with big‑data technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark, or similar streaming frameworks.
• Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including experience with query engines like Presto/Trino or Druid.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
