Role Overview – Senior Customer Engineer (Cloud Solutions)

The Senior Customer Engineer (CE) is the bridge between arenaflex’s sales, engineering, and client success functions. You will work closely with Field Sales Representatives, Subject Matter Experts, and Customer Success Managers to design, prototype, and deliver robust cloud‑native platforms that empower our clients to modernize their operations.

In this role you will:

  • Engage directly with new and existing customers to uncover business and technical requirements.
  • Serve as a pre‑ and post‑sales technical authority across a portfolio of arenaflex Cloud services, including Data & Analytics, AI/ML, Cloud‑Native Development, Application Modernization, Migration, and arenaflex Workspace.
  • Architect end‑to‑end solutions, produce detailed design diagrams, and develop realistic spend estimates.
  • Build rapid proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) and proof‑of‑value experiments that demonstrate tangible ROI.
  • Write, refactor, and optimize code to create fast, user‑friendly production applications.
  • Deploy solutions to arenaflex Cloud infrastructure using repeatable, automated pipelines.
  • Educate customers through hands‑on training, guiding them toward modern CI/CD practices and DevOps mindsets.
  • Lead interactive troubleshooting sessions, share best practices, and answer technical questions.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Solution Design

  • Conduct discovery workshops to translate business goals into technical specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive solution architectures that align with client objectives and budget constraints.
  • Produce professional services statements of work (SOW), implementation roadmaps, and cost‑benefit analyses.

Proof‑of‑Concept Development

  • Rapidly prototype innovative solutions using arenaflex Cloud, arenaflex Maps, and third‑party open‑source tools.
  • Validate concepts through measurable experiments, iterating based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Document POC outcomes and translate successful prototypes into production‑ready designs.

Implementation & Deployment

  • Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Leverage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, containerization, and deployment to arenaflex Cloud environments.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with industry standards.

Education & Enablement

  • Deliver tailored training sessions on arenaflex Workspace, data analytics tools, and AI/ML services.
  • Coach client teams on adopting DevOps practices, infrastructure‑as‑code, and automated monitoring.
  • Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven track record designing, building, and deploying production‑grade cloud solutions on arenaflex Cloud Platform (GCP), arenaflex (AWS), or arenaflex (Azure).
  • Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Java, C#, C, Python, Go, or modern JavaScript (Node.js, React, Angular).
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, turning vague requirements into concrete, scalable architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Self‑starter mindset with the ability to work autonomously and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Relevant certifications for arenaflex Cloud, arenaflex (AWS), or arenaflex (Azure) – e.g., Certified Solutions Architect, Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience building IoT or telemetry ingestion pipelines, including real‑time analytics or machine‑learning workloads.
  • Domain expertise in ride‑sharing, last‑mile delivery, logistics, or related transportation sectors.
  • Background in mobile web development using modern toolchains (React Native, Flutter, Progressive Web Apps).
  • Familiarity with arenaflex Maps Platform (GMP) and its APIs for geospatial visualizations.
