CFA Institute is seeking a Director, Finance Product Management to lead the strategy, roadmap, and continuous evolution of finance products and platforms that enable business performance at scale. The Director, Finance Product Management is responsible for the end-to-end oversight and optimization of finance-related products and platforms across CFA Institute. This role translates strategic direction from senior leadership into product strategy, roadmaps, and execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities. The Director, Finance Product Management leads multiple product workstreams and a small team, managing interdependencies across technology, finance, and business functions to deliver scalable, efficient, and high-performing financial systems. Operating with strategic-level expertise, this role anticipates complex challenges, integrates diverse perspectives, and applies data-driven decision-making to continuously improve product performance and user experience. The Director brings strong product delivery and team leadership capabilities, partnering closely with finance, technology, and compliance subject matter experts to drive outcomes. What You’ll Do Product Strategy and Lifecycle Management Own the full lifecycle management of finance products or a defined product portfolio, from ideation through launch, optimization, and retirement Translate enterprise and functional strategy into product roadmaps, priorities, and delivery plans Conduct needs assessment and market and industry analysis to identify emerging requirements, risks, and opportunities, in partnership with finance and technology SMEs Ensure products remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with evolving business and regulatory requirements Cross-Functional Integration and Delivery Lead coordination across Finance, Technology, Product, and business units to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives Manage interdependencies across platforms, systems, and workflows, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise architecture Partner with stakeholders to incorporate user needs, operational constraints, and technical considerations into product design Execution and Performance Management Oversee delivery of product initiatives, ensuring timely, high-quality execution within budget and scope Establish and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and value realization frameworks Drive data-driven product and service improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, user experience, and financial outcomes Innovation and Continuous Improvement Identify and implement innovative approaches, tools, and processes to improve financial product capabilities Lead pilot initiatives and iterative improvements, balancing speed with risk management Maintain external awareness of industry trends, digital innovation, and best practices Leadership and Team Oversight Manage and develop product managers or small teams, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities Provide direction, coaching, and performance management to build capability and drive engagement Coordinate team activities, ensuring clarity of objectives, accountability, and delivery outcomes Governance and Operational Alignment Operate within established policies, governance frameworks, and strategic objectives set by senior leadership Ensure compliance with financial controls, legal, regulatory, and audit requirements, working in close partnership with Finance, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders Support resource planning, prioritization, and budget management across assigned product areas What We’re Looking For 7+ years of experience in product management, program delivery, or digital platform leadership Experience managing product lifecycles and cross-functional delivery Demonstrated experience in enterprise systems, digital platforms, or technology-enabled business processes Product lifecycle management and roadmap development Data analysis and performance optimization Ability to develop working knowledge of financial systems and processes; partners effectively with finance and technology SMEs Project and program management methodologies Resource and budget planning Highly organized and a proven facilitator of effective and value-added outcomes An effective leader, self-directed, proactive, and action-oriented with a strong degree of initiative and vision. Fluency in English required.
