Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior E-Commerce / App Developer to join our network of project-based consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining e-commerce platforms and mobile applications while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user experience. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who can work independently, engage with stakeholders, and deliver high-quality solutions across various digital commerce and mobile application projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain e-commerce platforms and mobile applications. Build and integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services. Develop responsive web and mobile solutions with a focus on user experience. Implement new features, enhancements, and platform optimisations. Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and integration issues. Collaborate with product owners, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices. Optimise application performance, security, and scalability. Participate in solution architecture discussions and technical planning. Maintain technical documentation and deployment processes. Required Experience 5+ years of software development experience. Proven experience developing e-commerce platforms and digital commerce solutions. Experience building and supporting mobile applications (iOS and/or Android). Strong understanding of API development and integrations. Experience with cloud-based environments and modern development practices. Strong knowledge of software architecture and design principles. Experience working in Agile development environments. Technical Skills Experience with several of the following: JavaScript / TypeScript React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin Node.js, .NET, Java, or PHP RESTful APIs and GraphQL Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or custom e-commerce platforms SQL and NoSQL databases Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices Payment gateway integrations Security and performance optimisation Key Competencies Strong problem-solving ability Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently Customer-focused mindset Attention to detail Results-driven approach Adaptability and flexibility Strong stakeholder engagement skills Preferred Experience Marketplace or online retail platforms Mobile commerce (m-commerce) applications Subscription-based products and payment systems Enterprise integrations and automation UX/UI collaboration and optimisation We are looking for professionals who can quickly understand business requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver quality solutions within agreed timelines.
