About the Role

IonQ is seeking a Senior Talent Partner to help scale one of the world's most innovative quantum computing companies. This role will partner closely with executives and business leaders to attract and hire exceptional talent across Engineering, Go-to-Market, and Corporate functions. As a trusted advisor to leadership, you will play a critical role in talent strategy, and organizational growth. You will leverage your expertise in technical recruiting, market intelligence, and stakeholder management to build high-performing teams that accelerate IonQ's mission and business objectives. Responsibilities

Lead full-cycle recruiting across Engineering, Go-to-Market, and Corporate functions Partner with executives and hiring leaders to develop talent acquisition strategies aligned with business and growth objectives. Serve as a strategic advisor on talent market trends, compensation benchmarking, and hiring competitiveness. Develop proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage highly sought-after talent in specialized and competitive markets. Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for critical and future hiring needs. Drive efficient, high-quality hiring processes that balance candidate experience, hiring rigor, and speed. Assess candidates for technical capability, leadership potential, business impact, and cultural alignment. Utilize recruiting data and market insights to influence hiring decisions and continuously improve outcomes. Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize recruiting processes, interview practices, and employer branding initiatives. Champion IonQ's mission, technology, and culture throughout the candidate journey. Qualifications 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant experience supporting Engineering and Corporate functions. Proven success hiring technical talent within high-growth technology environments. Experience recruiting for leadership positions, including Director and Senior Director-level roles. Strong understanding of technical organizations and the ability to assess talent across complex engineering disciplines. Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders. Exceptional sourcing, networking, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical mindset with experience using recruiting metrics to drive decision-making. Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems, preferably Greenhouse. Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting deep-tech, quantum computing, aerospace, AI, advanced hardware, semiconductor, or enterprise software organizations. Experience scaling teams during periods of rapid growth, transformation, or pre-IPO expansion. Familiarity with highly specialized technical recruiting and talent mapping strategies. Experience partnering directly with executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational growth initiatives. Compensation $65–$77 per hour (6-month contract). Compensation is based on experience, skills, and market factors. Our HQ is located in College Park, Maryland which is only a 15-minute metro ride from Washington DC. We are actively building out our recently opened manufacturing and production facility in the Seattle, Washington area. Depending on the position, you may be required to be located near our offices in College Park, Seattle, or Toronto.
