Role Description This is a contract role for an Entertainment CPA (Film Production) based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The CPA will oversee financial compliance, production accounting structure, tax preparation, and multi‑state reporting for an upcoming feature film currently in pre‑production. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing production‑related accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with entertainment‑industry financial regulations, and supporting investor‑facing financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Experience with film production accounting or entertainment finance
- Strong understanding of multi‑state tax compliance (NC, FL, LA preferred)
- Proficiency in financial statements, cost reporting, and tax preparation
- Ability to collaborate with producers, line producers, and executive leadership
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
