  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and senior engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Write clean, performant code in languages such as Java, Scala, or Python, adhering to best practices for readability and maintainability.
  • Construct detailed architectural diagrams and subsystem specifications that illustrate data flow, storage, and processing components.
  • Develop proof‑of‑concept prototypes to evaluate new technologies, tools, and architectural patterns.
  • Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure operational excellence and rapid incident response.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming sessions, and continuous integration pipelines to uphold high quality standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends, open‑source projects, and emerging best practices in distributed systems, cloud native platforms, and data engineering.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross‑functional teams, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Contribute to arenaflex’s open‑source initiatives, sharing knowledge and code with the broader community.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data engineering, data processing, or related software development roles.
  • Hands‑on experience with distributed data stores such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch, or similar NoSQL technologies.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines using streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of cloud container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and experience deploying services in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of delivering scalable, high‑performance solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with real‑time analytics frameworks and time‑series databases.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design patterns.
  • Background in building and maintaining large‑scale, fault‑tolerant systems that prioritize security, reliability, and performance.
  • Exposure to infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Contributions to open‑source projects or active participation in technical communities.
  • Ability to lead technical workshops, brown‑bag sessions, or internal training programs.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of distributed computing concepts, data modeling, and storage strategies.
  • Programming Mastery: Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Java, Scala, Python, or Go).
